Al-Mustaqbal University College Holds The Second International Lecture on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Date: 28/11/2020 | Views: 422

In lining with the vision of the Al-Mustaqbal University College in achieving the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development goals, Dr. Wesam Al Madhoun from Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia was hosted on Friday, 27 November 2020 at 5:00 p.m. Local time on Zoom Meeting Platform to deliver his lecture titled: “Current Challenges and Future Sustainability Opportunities”.
The lecture included a review of the importance of reducing environmental pollution, which will greatly affect its negative impact on health and reduce health care costs, and consider that the current health crisis should be a motivation for a new change in our lives in pursuit of sustainable living.
The Dean of Al-Mustaqbal University College, Assist. Prof. Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, explained, "There are many projects that give us the opportunity to see our planet cleaner, and their implementation is a responsibility of everyone. As higher education institutions, we seek to achieve social, environmental and economic developments, as they are the most important incubators for ideas and international problems solutions, which makes it able to make a positive impact. "
Head of the Research and Studies Unit Al-Mustaqbal University College, Dr. Hamza Mohammed Ridha Al-Khafaji, said that, "The number of participants in the lecture reached 60 participants from 9 countries and from several Iraqi universities, including professors and those are interested in Sustainable Development, and focused on distinguished discussions that resulted in unifying visions towards our responsibilities in producing knowledge and spreading it among generations."
The Dean of the College extended his thanks and appreciation to the lecturer Dr. Wissam Al-Madhoun, and praised the unique efforts of Research and Studies Unit and Information Technology Unit in working in a team spirit to hold such featured international lectures.
